The using method of organic bentonite for paints.

Pre-gel method

The usage is more suitable for poor wettability resin systems and non-thixotropic grinding pigment. Ingredient: solvent 87%, organic bentonite  8-10%,polar activator (95%alcohol or 95%methanol)3-4%.

Process:

Add organic bentonite into solvent, stir the mixture for 10mins,make it be fully dispersed.

Add polar activator and stir 5mins to lrt it be fully dispersed and inflated. If needed,1%-2%surfactant can be added to the pre-gel for lower viscosity.

Instructions for use

1.For poor wetting epoxy resin,polyester,short oil alkyd resin and acrylic rosin with surfactant,and thixotropic grinding pigment,the process can be used as follows:

●A.Resin blend with solvent

●B.Add organic bentonite pre-gel for dispersion.  

●C.Add the pigments and fillers,disperse with high shear for a few minutes.

●D.Complete dilution

2.For poor wetting resin system and non-thixotropic pigment,the process can be used as follows:

●A.Resin blend with solvent

●B.Add appropriate surfactant if possible.

●C.Add the pigments and fillers,disperse with high shear for a few minutes to the right fineness.

●D.Add organic bentonite pre-gel for dispersion.

●E.Complete dilution
